New York: W.W Norton & Company, 1985
First edition. First printing. In the unclipped first issue dust jacket with two reviews on the rear panel. Advance proof copy, with “43546” on the upper corner of the first free endpaper, in the publisher’s faint hand stamp. A fine copy in a fine dust jacket, with virtually none of the sunning usually found on the spine - and very uncommon as such. Proof copies were sent to Feynman’s office at the California Institute of Technology in the fall of 1984, in advance of the January 1985 release of the book. Most were then given to close friends and colleagues. It is estimated that Feynman only received between 16 and 25 of these copies. An exceptionally desirable example of the legendary memoir. This is the only non-technical book Feynman published - a highly entertaining, humanist look into one of the greatest scientific minds of the 20th Century.
