London: Secker & Warburg, 1993
First edition. First printing. Original pictorial wrappers. A very good copy. A bit of fading to the spine and a single crease ascending three-quarters of its length. A trace of sunning to the front panel beneath the vignette. Creased corners on a couple of pages only. A light dampstain at the bottom edge, faintly visible at the lower margin of the early leaves. A little scattered foxing to the blank flyleaf and the top edge. Very faint toning to the margins of the contents but internally all but flawless. Square and sound - an uncommonly nice example of Welsh’s debut novel, a groundbreaking cult-classic of 90s counterculture. Scarce in the true first edition.
