Philadelphia: Lippincott, 1963
First edition. First printing, in the first issue dust jacket. A very good copy, with some toning to the cloth at the board-edges and a tiny closed tear at the bottom of the spine. A previous owner’s signature to the first free endpaper, but the contents otherwise fine. The dark blue topstain unfaded. In a very good, unclipped dust jacket, with a bit of sunning to the spine, minor rubbing, faint blemishes to the verso, and some chipping at the extremities. Overall a bright, attractive example. Pynchon’s debut novel - a landmark in postmodern literature.
